Velvet Ties terms and Bad Actor Identifier consent
Effective date: April 8, 2026. These are the legal terms referenced during Velvet Ties application and onboarding. They combine the Velvet Ties community terms with the Bad Actor Identifier safety-platform consent and release terms used for vetting.
Velvet Ties community terms
By applying to or using Velvet Ties, you agree that:
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for any activity tied to your account.
- You must use Velvet Ties lawfully and respectfully, and may not engage in harmful, illegal, or disruptive conduct.
- Velvet Ties may suspend or terminate access at any time for safety, policy, or operational reasons.
- Velvet Ties does not guarantee any minimum number of dates, matches, or outcomes unless expressly stated in a separate paid offering.
- Any disputes tied to Velvet Ties services are governed by New York law, with Manhattan, New York courts as the agreed forum unless a separate agreement controls.
Bad Actor Identifier consent and release
By creating or using a member profile reviewed through Bad Actor Identifier, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Bad Actor Identifier is a community safety and reputation platform that can link reports, safety notations, and community decisions to your member profile.
- Reports are user-generated content that the platform may not independently verify, and the platform operates as a neutral conduit for safety information.
- Your profile information, photos, bio, community affiliations, and general location may become visible to authorized members or community leaders for vetting and safety review; private identifiers such as email, phone, full address, and government IDs will not be made public.
- You consent to community review, report linkage, moderation decisions, law-enforcement referrals when appropriate, and account flagging, suspension, or removal based on safety concerns.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the platform, community leaders, and reporting users from claims arising out of reports, safety notations, reputation impacts, and community access decisions.
- The platform is provided as-is, without warranties, and liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law.
